When: Wednesday, October 18th. Bus will depart from the Brentwood Community Center at 8:30am and will return back at the BCC approximately at 5:00pm.

Where: ENCORE BOSTON HARBOR CASINO at 1 Broadway, Everett, Massachusetts 02149.

Price: $35 per person. ($20 gambling voucher included)

Other Details: Join us for the day at Encore Boston Harbor Casino in Everett Mass. Enjoy coach bus transportation with coffee & donuts for the ride down.

ABOUT THE TRAILS
The Brentwood trail system is mostly comprised of old trails and roads found on town owned land and private properties. The trails are maintained by the Brentwood Trails Committee, landowners, participants, and volunteers. To view trail maps please follow links listed below.

BRENTWOOD TRAILS COMMITTEE
The Brentwood Trails Committee is consisted of 1 to 5 persons that falls under the Recreation Department. The Brentwood Trails Committee also works closely with the Brentwood Conservation Commission. When there is at least 3 members on the committee there will be monthly meetings to discuss; future plans, maintenance, volunteers, fundraisers, trail improvements and much more! If you are interested in joining the Brentwood Trails Committee please reach out to brentwoodtrails@aol.com or contact the Brentwood Recreation Department.

SENIOR PROGRAMS & EVENTS
SENIOR CENTER:
Come on down and check out the new Brentwood Recreation Senior Center. The Brentwood Senior Center is open to residents and non-residents on Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:00pm. You will be able to socialize, have coffee, ceramics, take out books, and much more!!! So come on down and see what we have to offer and please leave any recommendations as the Brentwood Recreation Department will continue to build off of the Senior Center based off of your feedback!
CERAMICS: Class is on Tuesdays 10am-12pm or 11am-1pm (11am-1pm is to accommodate those taking Yoga until 11am.) Cost is $2.00 per hour plus cost of piece. Brushes and most paint is included.

EXETER RIVER FALL PADDLE
The “Fall Paddle” returns for a fifth year! The Exeter River is a town treasure running through the middle of Brentwood. A pristine river with an abundance of wildlife, much of the land along the river has been conserved, resulting in very little development along its shores and a very natural experience. Whether you are a frequent paddler on the river, or have never been out on it, we hope you will consider joining in.
When? Saturday, September 23th, 10am-12pm (Rain or Shine within reason)
Rain date- Saturday, September 30th 10am-12pm
Where? Departs from the river access stairs on Rowell Road West (off of Haigh Rd)
Destination- Pickpocket Dam
Who can participate? This event is open to Brentwood residents & non residents
Cost? There is no cost to participate!!!
What is included? A BBQ lunch will be provided!!! Free shuttle back to launch site.
What does the day look like and is anything required?
- Must bring your own boat. (canoe or kayak)
- Everyone must bring and wear their own life jacket.
- Check in at the Rowell Road entry and must show proof of life jacket.
- The paddle will proceed downriver to the Pickpocket Dam at Cross Rd (about 1hr paddle)
- A lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers will be served.
- Representatives will be on hand to provide information about the river and keeping it healthy during the lunch stop
- After lunch the group paddle will paddle back up the river (very little current) For those not wanting to paddle both ways, limited rides will be available from the dam back to the launch site.
Don't have a canoe or kayak? If you are a resident of Brentwood. You can rent a canoe or kayak from the recreation department (no fee). To rent a canoe or kayak please contact the Recreation Department. 603-642-6400 ext.120 or email recreation@brentwoodnh.gov All rentals are first come first serve.
Not up for paddling? VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to
help with the event. Please contact the recreation department if you can help out.

Fall Youth Field Hockey
This program is structured to introduce the fundamentals for the game of Field Hockey and build on existing fundamentals. This is an, "In-house" program and we may play other towns in scrimmages if schedule and availability allows it. This program will be mostly for the enjoyment of the game, skill development, and learning the rules.
Practices Mondays (5:30-6:30pm)

Adult Pick-up Pickleball
Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30pm.
Adult Pickleball will be offered again in the gym at the Swasey Elementary School Gym. No experiences is necessary! Rec. Dept. will provide paddles if you do not have one. This is a low-impact, easy to learn, and extremely fun sport to play, at any age! Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton, and racquet ball. You can play singles, but is mostly played in doubles. Come try it out! No registration fee.Yoga Movement for Seniors!
Join us at the Brentwood Community Center Tuesday mornings for this FREE class! This gentle movement class helps seniors improve range of motion, flexibility, balance, and will help relieve your aches and pains, all in the comfort of a chair. No experience necessary. This is a great social activity too! Classes are 10am-10:45am
TANG SOO DO CLASSES
Tang Soo Do is a Korean Martial Art comprised of both hard and soft techniques. It emphasizes whole body physical training. It’s beneficial for self-discipline, self-defense and health.
Classes are available Monday and Friday at the Brentwood Community Center.
Classes are taught by Retired Law Enforcement office Bob Meegan. He is currently a 4th degree Black Belt with the World Tang Soo Do Association and recently recognized by the association for his 35 years as an instructor.
