    ABOUT THE TRAILS

    The Brentwood trail system is mostly comprised of old trails and roads found on town owned land and private properties. The trails are maintained by the Brentwood Trails Committee, landowners, participants, and volunteers. To view trail maps please follow links listed below.

    BRENTWOOD TRAILS COMMITTEE

    The Brentwood Trails Committee is consisted of 1 to 5 persons that falls under the Recreation Department. The Brentwood Trails Committee also works closely with the Brentwood Conservation Commission. When there is at least 3 members on the committee there will be monthly meetings to discuss; future plans, maintenance, volunteers, fundraisers, trail improvements and much more! If you are interested in joining the Brentwood Trails Committee please reach out to brentwoodtrails@aol.com or contact the Brentwood Recreation Department.

For anyone looking to donate in person please visit the Brentwood Recreation office at 1 Dalton Road, Brentwood NH from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday.     SENIOR PROGRAMS & EVENTS




    SENIOR CENTER:

    Come on down and check out the new Brentwood Recreation Senior Center. The Brentwood Senior Center is open to residents and non-residents on Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:00pm.  You will be able to socialize, have coffee, ceramics, take out books, and much more!!! So come on down and see what we have to offer and please leave any recommendations as the Brentwood Recreation Department will continue to build off of the Senior Center based off of your feedback!

    Next luncheon is Wednesday, November 16th, located at the Brentwood Community Center starting at 11am.  Lunch theme-Thanksgiving

    2022-2023

     

     Youth Basketball


      

    Pre K & Kindergarten Practice/play as a group for one hour on Saturday mornings (Swasey).  The first half practicing individual skills and basketball fundamentals.  The second half a structured game with the hoops lowered.  The goal is to introduce the game of basketball to young players, working on the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and playing together.

     



     1st and 2nd graders: Play on coed teams.  Practice/play for one hour Saturday mornings (Swasey) with an optional mid week practice. The first half of games will be set for practicing individual skills and basketball fundamentals.  The second half a structured game with the hoops lowered.  The goal is to introduce the game of basketball to young players, working on the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and playing together as a team.  Coaches instruct players during games as well as practice time. 


    Pk-2nd registration deadline- Sunday, November 13th 




    3rd-6th Grade Basketball

    For the 2022-2023 basketball season grades 3rd-6th will be playing in the Stratham Recreation League. Travel might be required and games will be on Saturdays with one mid week practice.



    3rd-6th grade registration deadline- Tuesday, November 8th



    7th-8th Grade Basketball 

    For the 2022-2023 basketball season grades 7th-8th will be playing in the Lamprey River League. Games take place on either Saturdays or Sundays with one mid week practice.  


    7th-12th grade registration- Sunday, November 13th 


    9th-12th Grade Basketball
    For the first time ever the Lamprey River League will be introducing recreation basketball for players in grades 9th-12th!!! More information regarding setup, play, games, and practices to be announced at a later time. Please contact the Recreation Department with any questions.  





    ***Brentwood Basketball is open to players who reside in the SAU 16 District*** 





     Season runs approximately Dec. 1st through February 19th. Practices dates to be announced.

    Registration cost: K-2nd ($50), 3rd-8th ($85), 9th-12th ($85)

     (Families registering three or more players -  first two children at regular fee, $20 for additional children...third child that receives discount must be in a lower, or equal, program than siblings)

    Yoga Movement for Seniors!

     

    Join us at the Brentwood Community Center Tuesday mornings for this FREE class! This gentle movement class helps seniors improve range of motion, flexibility, balance, and will help relieve your aches and pains, all in the comfort of a chair. No experience necessary. This is a great social activity too! Classes are 10am-10:45am

    TANG SOO DO CLASSES

    Tang Soo Do is a Korean Martial Art comprised of both hard and soft techniques. It emphasizes whole body physical training. It’s beneficial for self-discipline, self-defense and health.

    Classes are available Monday and Friday at the Brentwood Community Center.

     

    Classes are taught by Retired Law Enforcement office Bob Meegan. He is currently a 4th degree Black Belt with the World Tang Soo Do Association and recently recognized by the association  for his 35 years as an instructor.

     

    6:30-8:00pm  

    Enrollment is continual,

    so you may begin at any point.

    Cost:  $60/single/mo.    $100/family/mo. (2 or more)

    Calls from the North Pole!

     With the help of our good friends at the North Pole, your child has an opportunity to speak with Santa this holiday season!




    He’ll be happy to call your child December 4th or 5th between 5:30 and 7:00pm to talk to them and wish them a Merry Christmas.




    Please register your child with the Recreation Office no later than Thursday, Dec. 1st. We’ll need their name(s), age, phone number to call as well as which of the two nights you prefer. There is no charge.




     (IMPORTANT: Since we’ll need time to get the list to Santa, we will not be able to add names after the December 1st deadline.)
