    Come on down and check out the new Brentwood Recreation Senior Center. The Brentwood Senior Center is open to residents and non-residents on Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:00pm.  You will be able to socialize, have coffee, ceramics, take out books, and much more!!! So come on down and see what we have to offer and please leave any recommendations as the Brentwood Recreation Department will continue to build off of the Senior Center based off of your feedback!

    Next luncheon is Wednesday, November 17th (Thanksgiving Theme). Arrival between 11am-11:15am with lunch and entertainment starting around 11:30am

    Brentwood Recreation will be partnering up with the Peach Project on December 10th & 11th from 5:00pm-9:00pm in a decorated and festive stroll through the tree lined fields and wooded pathways at the Brentwood Community Center. The event will happen rain or snow and there will be a $5 admission fee. The Holiday Stroll will have food trucks, music, craft fair, bake sale, a silent auction, and much more! 100% of the proceeds will go to the NH Food Bank and please contact the Recreation Department with any questions relating to this event.

    Do you want to show off your holiday winter wonderland? Register for the Brentwood Holiday Light Festival and Brentwood Rec will visit and post your holiday lights on the Brentwood Rec website & facebook pages. The house with the best setup will be Brentwood's Best Holiday Display!!!

     Youth Basketball


    Pre K & Kindergarten Practice/play as a group for one hour on Saturday mornings (Swasey).  The first half practicing individual skills and basketball fundamentals.  The second half a structured game with the hoops lowered.  The goal is to introduce the game of basketball to young players, working on the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and playing together.


     1st and 2nd graders: Play on coed teams.  Practice/play for one hour Saturday mornings (Swasey) with an optional mid week practice. The first half of games will be set for practicing individual skills and basketball fundamentals.  The second half a structured game with the hoops lowered.  The goal is to introduce the game of basketball to young players, working on the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and playing together as a team.  Coaches instruct players during games as well as practice time. Open gym night for additional playing time TBA

    3rd-6th Grade Basketball

    For the 2021-2022 basketball season grades 3rd-6th will be playing in the Stratham Recreation League. Travel might be required and games will be on Saturdays with one mid week practice.

    7th-8th Grade Basketball

    For the 2021-2022 basketball season grades 7th-8th will be playing in the Lamprey River League. Games take place on either Saturdays or Sundays with one mid week practice. 

    ***Brentwood Basketball is open to players who reside in the SAU 16 District***

     Season runs approximately Dec. 1st through February 19th. Practices dates to be announced.

    Registration cost: K-2nd ($50), 3rd-8th ($85)

     (Families registering three or more players -  first two children at regular fee, $20 for additional children...third child that receives discount must be in a lower, or equal, program than siblings)

     ** Additional $3 fee for online registration


    Swasey gym blackout dates (no practices or games)- January 20th

    Talbot gym blackout dates (no practices or games)- January 20th, February 9th

    Adult Pick-up Pickleball 

    Thursdays, 6:00-8:00pm.

     Adult Pickleball will be offered again in the gym at the Brentwood Community Center Basketball Court. No experiences is necessary! Rec. Dept. will provide paddles if you do not have one. This is a low-impact, easy to learn, and extremely fun sport to play, at any age! Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton, and racquet ball. You can play singles, but is mostly played in doubles. Come try it out! No registration fee.

    Yoga Movement for Seniors!


    Join us at the Brentwood Community Center Tuesday mornings for this FREE class! This gentle movement class helps seniors improve range of motion, flexibility, balance, and will help relieve your aches and pains, all in the comfort of a chair. No experience necessary. This is a great social activity too! Classes are 10am-10:45am

    All classes are now open! The Recreation Department will continue to monitor and update it's Covid-19 protocols on a daily basis and if classes need to be cancelled due to Covid-19 the Recreation Director and the Yoga Instructor will notify you. Please email the recreation director with any questions or concerns.

    Happy Holidays!!! We hope you can join us for a fun winter evening at the Brentwood Rec Center for a Sip and Sign Night!!! Feel free to BYOB and food!! We have so much space to spread out and keep safe!

    We will have a 40 person limit so get your tickets quick!! As you order at checkout we will ask whom you would like to sit with...please include your whole party.

    No need for any artistic abilities, the instructor will take you step by step!

    All supplies will be at the event with your name on it so no need to bring anything other than yourself!!


    Please order no later then 12/13 so we can prepare your stencil and cut your wood.

    Tang Soo Do is a Korean Martial Art comprised of both hard and soft techniques. It emphasizes whole body physical training. It’s beneficial for self-discipline, self-defense and health.

    Classes are available Monday and Friday at the Brentwood Community Center.


    Classes are taught by Retired Law Enforcement office Bob Meegan. He is currently a 4th degree Black Belt with the World Tang Soo Do Association and recently recognized by the association  for his 35 years as an instructor.



    Enrollment is continual,

    so you may begin at any point.

    Cost:  $60/single/mo.    $100/family/mo. (2 or more)


    Martial Art classes are back!!! Starting this Friday, July 10th classes will take place outside and will return in the community center after August 21st. FILL OUT COVID WAIVER form that is attached below. You won't be able to participate until Covid form is filled out.     Calls from the North Pole!

     With the help of our good friends at the North Pole, your child has an opportunity to speak with Santa this holiday season!

    He’ll be happy to call your child December 5th or 6th between 5:30 and 7:00pm to talk to them and wish them a Merry Christmas.

    Please register your child with the Recreation Office no later than Thursday, Dec. 2nd. We’ll need their name(s), age, phone number to call as well as which of the two nights you prefer. There is no charge.

     (IMPORTANT: Since we’ll need time to get the list to Santa, we will not be able to add names after the December 2nd deadline.)
