    ABOUT THE TRAILS

    The Brentwood trail system is mostly comprised of old trails and roads found on town owned land and private properties. The trails are maintained by the Brentwood Trails Committee, landowners, participants, and volunteers. To view trail maps please follow links listed below.

    BRENTWOOD TRAILS COMMITTEE

    The Brentwood Trails Committee is consisted of 1 to 5 persons that falls under the Recreation Department. The Brentwood Trails Committee also works closely with the Brentwood Conservation Commission. When there is at least 3 members on the committee there will be monthly meetings to discuss; future plans, maintenance, volunteers, fundraisers, trail improvements and much more! If you are interested in joining the Brentwood Trails Committee please reach out to brentwoodtrails@aol.com or contact the Brentwood Recreation Department.

For anyone looking to donate in person please visit the Brentwood Recreation office at 1 Dalton Road, Brentwood NH from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday. Checks can be made to Brentwood Recreation and please put trail donation in the memo line.

    SENIOR PROGRAMS & EVENTS




    SENIOR CENTER:

    Come on down and check out the new Brentwood Recreation Senior Center. The Brentwood Senior Center is open to residents and non-residents on Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:00pm.  You will be able to socialize, have coffee, ceramics, take out books, and much more!!! So come on down and see what we have to offer and please leave any recommendations as the Brentwood Recreation Department will continue to build off of the Senior Center based off of your feedback!

    Next luncheon is Wednesday, May 25th located at the Brentwood Community Center starting at 11am.  Lunch theme is a BBQ

    SENIOR TRIP - HAMPTON BEACH SANDSCULPTURE CONTEST


    Where: Hampton Beach, Hampton New Hampshire

    When: Wednesday, June 15th, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm.

    Price: $10 per person.

    Other Details:
    Join the Brentwood Recreation department on our trip to Hampton beach to enjoy the hard work competitors have built to win this year’s Sand Sculpture contest. The Recreation Van will leave the Brentwood Recreation Center at 9:30 am to make it to Hampton Beach by 10:00 am. Enjoy the competitor’s creations from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. The Recreation Van will leave Hampton Beach by 12:00 the latest to make it to the Sea Ketch Restaurant for lunch. We plan to return to the Recreation Center by 2:00 pm.

    4th of July Parade



    July 4, 2022 (Monday)

    Parade Route- Starts from the Brentwood Highway Shed (207 Middle Road) & ends at Swasey Elementary (355 Middle Road)  




    Parade Lineup & Meeting Time - Lineup starts at 9am with the Parade procession starting at 10:00am & the parade participants will be getting ready at the Brentwood Highway Shed this year.

    Parade Float/Walker Contest-  This year's 4th of July Family Parade, Brentwood Rec will be introducing a float & walker contest. Contest prizes can be given to floats, walkers, and/or vehicles (categories: Most Patriotic, Best Float, The Coolest Car, The Flashy Wheels (Bicycles), Favorite Animal(s) Appearance)



    How to Register for Parade- To register to participate in the parade as a walker or rider please visit the Brentwood Recreation website or office to sign up. Deadline to register vehicles or as a rider is Sunday June 26th!!!



    Please register ahead of the parade through the Brentwood Recreation website or in person at the Recreation Office. Vehicles must follow State RSA's (Terms are in online registration, below to download, or at the Recreation Office) in order to participate.






    PARADE UPDATE: Walkers, tractors, horses, vehicles, and floats are welcomed!!!! 



    *All Traffic Laws Must be Followed

    Brentwood Summer Camp
    Join us for a summer filled with friends, activities, and fun in the sun!


    Resident registration is now open


    Non-Resident registration opens Monday, March 7th

     

    Dates: June 27 - August 19 (8 weeks) *NO CAMP ON MONDAY, JULY 4TH 


    TimesCamp day 9:00am-4:00pm. Before Care 7:30am-9am. After Care: 4:00pm-5:30pm. ***Note: Before & After Care is additional fee***


    Location: Brentwood Recreation Complex.


    Grades: Children entering grades 1st-6th (2022-2023 school year)




    Registration:  You can register online along with the $100 deposit to hold your spot in camp. This is for weekly or full summer participants only. All single day registrations must be completed at the recreation office. All other payments must be paid at the recreation office by Wednesday, June 1st. (spots are limited & rates increase after June 1st)



    Activities:  Include water & non water games, arts & crafts, team building activities fields trips, magic shows, and much more!


    Field Trips: The Recreation Department is currently planning on having field trips this summer. With that said the Recreation Director will continue to monitor the status of Covid-19 and if we feel that it becomes unsafe to go on trips, then we will cancel field trips as necessary and will reimburse families.

    Yoga Movement for Seniors!

     

    Join us at the Brentwood Community Center Tuesday mornings for this FREE class! This gentle movement class helps seniors improve range of motion, flexibility, balance, and will help relieve your aches and pains, all in the comfort of a chair. No experience necessary. This is a great social activity too! Classes are 10am-10:45am

    TANG SOO DO CLASSES

    Tang Soo Do is a Korean Martial Art comprised of both hard and soft techniques. It emphasizes whole body physical training. It’s beneficial for self-discipline, self-defense and health.

    Classes are available Monday and Friday at the Brentwood Community Center.

     

    Classes are taught by Retired Law Enforcement office Bob Meegan. He is currently a 4th degree Black Belt with the World Tang Soo Do Association and recently recognized by the association  for his 35 years as an instructor.

     

    6:30-8:00pm  

    Enrollment is continual,

    so you may begin at any point.

    Cost:  $60/single/mo.    $100/family/mo. (2 or more)

    Brentwood Youth Baseball






    Spring Field clean-up April 2nd


    Coaches' Meeting: 

    Wednesday, April 13th at 6:30pm located at the Brentwood Community Center Basement


    Farm Baseball will play in the Rockingham County Baseball League (East Kingston, Kensington and Newfields) .

    T-Ball will play only in Brentwood & play some games against Exeter T-Ball



    TBALL: Saturdays only & practices will be at the lower baseball field.




    Farm Baseball: Brentwood Recreation is in working with the Rockingham County Baseball League on setting a start date and game schedule. More news will follow and the recreation department will announce all dates and status as soon as possible.

    ***If registering 3 or more children, the 3rd child rate is $20***

    The season will run from late June through mid-August.

     


    If you are interested in playing or have a group interested in forming a team, you can register through the Recreation office or register online. Please indicate team name or coach if signing up for a particular team. Individual or team sign-up deadline is Monday, May 31st . Captain's meeting TBA.
