    SENIOR PROGRAMS & EVENTS




    SENIOR CENTER:

    Come on down and check out the new Brentwood Recreation Senior Center. The Brentwood Senior Center is open to residents and non-residents on Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:00pm.  You will be able to socialize, have coffee, ceramics, take out books, and much more!!! So come on down and see what we have to offer and please leave any recommendations as the Brentwood Recreation Department will continue to build off of the Senior Center based off of your feedback! 



    CERAMICS: Class is on Tuesdays 10am-12pm or 11am-1pm (11am-1pm is to accommodate those taking Yoga until 11am.) Cost is $2.00 per hour plus cost of piece. Brushes and most paint is included.

    SENIOR TRIPS: Encore Casino, Wednesday, October 18th 8:30am-5pm

    Adult Pick-up Pickleball 

    Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30pm.


     Adult Pickleball will be offered again in the gym at the Swasey Elementary School Gym. No experiences is necessary! Rec. Dept. will provide paddles if you do not have one. This is a low-impact, easy to learn, and extremely fun sport to play, at any age! Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton, and racquet ball. You can play singles, but is mostly played in doubles. Come try it out! No registration fee.

    Yoga Movement for Seniors!

     

    Join us at the Brentwood Community Center Tuesday mornings for this FREE class! This gentle movement class helps seniors improve range of motion, flexibility, balance, and will help relieve your aches and pains, all in the comfort of a chair. No experience necessary. This is a great social activity too! Classes are 10am-10:45am

    TANG SOO DO CLASSES

    Tang Soo Do is a Korean Martial Art comprised of both hard and soft techniques. It emphasizes whole body physical training. It’s beneficial for self-discipline, self-defense and health.

    Classes are available Monday and Friday at the Brentwood Community Center.

     

    Classes are taught by Retired Law Enforcement office Bob Meegan. He is currently a 4th degree Black Belt with the World Tang Soo Do Association and recently recognized by the association  for his 35 years as an instructor.

     

    6:30-8:00pm  

    Enrollment is continual,

    so you may begin at any point.

    Cost:  $70/single/mo.    $120/family/mo. (2 or more)
