BRENTWOOD YOUTH CRICKET
Brentwood Recreation will be offering Cricket & to introduce the growing sport to the Seacoast region! The program will be structured to introduce the fundamentals for the game of cricket and build on existing skills. This is an “in-house” program that focuses on enjoyment of the game, skill development, and learning the rules during this 8 week period.
What is Cricket?
Cricket is a safe and fun sport that that uses a bat & ball that is played by two teams of 11 players each on a field at the center of the pitch. Cricket is mostly played in England, Australia, South Africa, India, and a host of other commonwealth nations. Cricket has been played in the United States since the 18th century and has been one of the fastest growing sports in the USA!

OPEN GYM PICKUP BASKETBALL
Hello Brentwood Parents! Until the end of the school year, we will be offering a weekly BRENTWOOD REC OPEN GYM for interested residents of Swasey School grades 1st-6th.

From May 17th- June 14th on Wednesdays, we will go from 6-7pm and there will be coaches present at the gym to organize drills and scrimmages. There will be a focus on skill building (dribbling, passing, defense, form shooting) during these open gyms, but the true #1 focus will be on having fun! Basketball is a great game to build teamwork and confidence amongst kids. We have the Swasey School gym available, so let's put it to good use!
Equipment:
- Sneakers
- Dark & Light-colored shirts (for scrimmages)
- Water
Games are played at the Swasey Elementary Gym Court and volunteers are welcomed. There is no cost to sign up, but players still need to register with the Recreation Office. You can register through the Brentwood Recreation website or at the Recreation Office. Families can also register for pickup basketball at Swasey Gym on the first night of pickup basketball.

Times: Camp day 9:00am-4:00pm. Before Care 7:30am-9am. A

Location: Brentwood Recreation Complex.
Grades: FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER TEEN CAMP IS OFFERED!!!

Registration: You can register online along with the $100 deposit to hold your spot in camp. This is for weekly or full summer participants only. All other payments must be paid at the recreation office by Thursday, June 1st. (spots are limited & rates increase after June 1st)
- No single day registrations this year
- You can register for 1-3 single weeks, half summer package (4 weeks), or for the full summer package (8 weeks)

TANG SOO DO CLASSES
Tang Soo Do is a Korean Martial Art comprised of both hard and soft techniques. It emphasizes whole body physical training. It’s beneficial for self-discipline, self-defense and health.
Classes are available Monday and Friday at the Brentwood Community Center.
Classes are taught by Retired Law Enforcement office Bob Meegan. He is currently a 4th degree Black Belt with the World Tang Soo Do Association and recently recognized by the association for his 35 years as an instructor.

Enrollment is continual,
so you may begin at any point.
